I’m an artist and designer with a broad range of creative and technical skills. I specialize in user experience, visual design, and motion graphics. From video games to mobile apps, I have designed interactive experiences for millions of customers across numerous platforms.

In 2011 I helped launch Delicious Empire. We are a small team that provides creative services for large and small companies. We specialize in motion graphics, branding, and interactive design. Situated in San Francisco and a stones throw from Silicon Valley we partner with many talented and creative individuals.

Perforce

2012 – 2015 | Visual Design and UX Contractor

As a contract resource for Perforce I provided visual design leadership and assisted with user experience design on several key products.


Myriad Group

2008 – 2011 | Principal Visual Designer, UX Designer

At Myriad, I worked as both a user experience and visual designer providing clean and user-friendly interfaces for an international mobile market. I worked locally as well as traveled abroad to work closely with teams in Europe. While in Europe, I worked closely with Myriad’s engineers and Puma’s designers to create an exciting branded mobile experience for the Puma phone.


Tactel

2008 | Art Director

I worked with Tactel on the Sony Ericsson X1 phone and provided a series of screen comps and demos as part of an effort to acquire new business for Tactel as they established their new San Francisco location.


Openwave System Inc.

2007 – 2008 | Sr. Visual Designer, UX Designer

I was responsible for the visual design of Openwave’s suite of products as well as for providing user experience guidelines and design documents for web, mobile, and touch interfaces. I worked directly with the user experience team and collaborated with design and engineering resources both locally and internationally.


Mobile Greetings

2005 – 2007 | Art Director

I oversaw a team of artists and worked closely with the engineering team in the development of mobile applications for major motion pictures studios, game companies, magazines, and news organizations. While with Mobile Greetings, I shipped over 25 Brew and numerous J2ME applications through various carriers including Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T. I was also responsible for overseeing the creation of marketing materials and demo applications to assist the sales team in the acquisition of new business.



From 2002 – 2005 I worked as a freelance designer with several companies:

Star Island

2004 – 2005 | Graphic Designer & Web Developer

I assisted Star Island with the development of their website and provided graphic design for a variety of promotional materials including flyers, brochures, and posters.


Moxie Method

2003 – 2005 | Multimedia Designer

I worked with Moxie Method’s creative director and brand manager to produce interactive multimedia applications including rich media websites and marketing collateral.


Swirl

2003 – 2005 | Multimedia Designer

I consulted with Swirl on several projects working with their team to create interactive multimedia applications including rich media websites, kiosks, interactive DVDs, and other marketing collateral.


Perpetual Entertainment

2002 – 2003 | 3d Game Artist

I worked closely with the engineering team modeling a 3d world with buildings and objects in Maya which was applied to the RenderWare game engine to create a demo massively multiplayer online role playing game that was later developed as Gods and Heros.


Blam! Video Game Development

1999 – 2002 | Art Lead

At Blam I was responsible for creating and managing 2d and 3d game art and assets, brainstorming game designs, creating storyboards to pitch game ideas and concepts, maintaining the company website, providing logo treatments, and updating company print material. Published numerous web and mobile games as well as assisted in the development of console games for PlayStation and Nintendo 64.

San Francisco State University

2002 - 2003 | Teachers Assistant

I tutored design labs for Jane Veeder (Design Dept Head) twice a week for multiple semesters; helped students understand the fundamentals of 2d animation, interactive interface design, and the use of Flash, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver.


CA Department of Vocational Rehab

2003 | Tutor

I trained individuals injured and unable to continue in their current careers in Flash, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver in an effort to assist them in transitioning to a new vocation.


I'm always open to new opportunities and enjoy collaborating with other designers and teams.
